  2. Structure Mapping — It maps your existing internal link structure to identify pages with weak connectivity.
  3. Orphan Detection — Pages with no incoming internal links are flagged as high-priority targets for new links.
  4. Smart Matching — The AI finds semantically relevant pages that should link to each other based on content similarity.
  5. Anchor Text Generation — For each suggestion, the AI generates descriptive, SEO-friendly anchor text.

Run a Crawl with SEO Analysis

Make sure SEO Analysis is enabled in your scan options. Link suggestions require page content data to work.

Navigate to Crawl Results

After the crawl completes, go to the crawl results page for your domain.

Find the Link Suggestions Section

Scroll to the Internal Link Opportunities section (Pro and Agency plans only).

Click Generate Suggestions to start the AI analysis. This takes 10-30 seconds depending on site size.

Managing Suggestions

Mark as Implemented

After you’ve added a suggested link to your site, click Mark as Implemented to track your progress. Implemented suggestions remain visible but are de-emphasized.

Dismiss Suggestions

If a suggestion doesn’t make sense for your site, click Dismiss to hide it. Dismissed suggestions won’t appear in your list.

Use the filter buttons to focus on specific types:

Limitations

Content Requirements

Link suggestions work best when:
  • Pages have proper meta titles and H1 headings
  • Pages have descriptive meta descriptions
  • SEO Analysis was enabled during the crawl

Page Limits

To manage costs and processing time:
  • Pro — Analyzes up to 50 pages per request
  • Agency — Analyzes up to 100 pages per request
For larger sites, the AI samples the most important pages (based on existing link structure and crawl order).

One Analysis Per Crawl

You can only generate link suggestions once per crawl. To get fresh suggestions:
  1. Run a new crawl with SEO Analysis enabled
  2. Generate suggestions on the new crawl

Troubleshooting

”AI features not available on your plan”

Link suggestions require a Pro or Agency plan. Upgrade to access AI features.

”Monthly AI usage limit reached”

You’ve used all your AI credits for the month. Your quota resets on your billing date. The crawl didn’t discover any pages. Check that:
  • Your domain is verified
  • The site is accessible
  • The crawl wasn’t blocked by firewalls

”Crawl must be completed before generating suggestions”

Wait for your crawl to finish processing before requesting link suggestions.

Suggestions seem irrelevant

This can happen when:
  • Pages lack proper meta tags (AI has less context)
  • Content is very thin (< 100 words)
  • Pages are highly technical or niche
Improve your page metadata (titles, descriptions, H1s) for better AI suggestions. The AI relies on this content to understand what each page is about.
